Narremos · let’s share

Tell us…
again.

We call Grandma or Grandpa at the hour they pick, and the stories you grew up on come back in the voice that first told them. The whole family can listen, and ask for more.

Invite Grandma, Grandpa, or anyone with stories to tell. Nobody is called until they say yes.

Narremos

nar-REH-mos · Spanish for “let’s tell our stories”

Let’s share.

Spanish has a word for the talk that lingers at the table after a meal: sobremesa. It’s when the stories come out, the ones everybody asks to hear again. Narremos brings that hour to the phone, and keeps each story in the voice that tells it best.

We call. Grandma shares.

No app to learn, and nothing to write. On the day and at the hour Grandma picks, her phone rings, and the stories start.

Tuesday’s call · 10 in the morning

Emma asked

Questions to try

  • What was your first job?
  • What did you cook on Sundays?
  • What were you like at nine?
  • How did you choose my name?

It tells you what she did, never what you should do.

Every story, in its place.

Every call is kept just as Grandma told it, the laugh, the pauses, all of it. When Ask arrives, it plays her real recording, so her voice only ever says her own words.

Rice, milk, one cinnamon stick, and the peel of one lemon. Only the yellow. The white is bitter. Then you stir. Don’t walk away, Maria. That’s where everybody goes wrong.

Grandma decides who hears it.

Soon, each story gets its own circle: she can share it with the whole family, with certain people, or seal it until a day she picks. Until then, only the people you invite can listen.

“Leave that out.”

Grandma’s yes comes first.

Before anyone calls, she gets an invitation of her own, from you, in large, clear type. She reads it at her own pace, and nothing starts until she says yes.

  • Her day, her hour. And the number we call.
  • Five separate yeses. The first two let the calls start. The last three are hers to give, or not.
  • No is just as easy. One tap, and nobody calls.
